Call for showcases applications

More than one hundred and fifty international professionals are expected at this 8th edition of REMA, including distributors, festival directors, producers, professional organizations, managers, artists, cultural media, content creators, and professional networks.
REMA 2025 will be held on October 16, 17, and 18, 2025, in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

These are 3 days of concerts, training sessions, and professional meetings.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Applications must be submitted by the Artist’s professional entourage using the application form. All applications must be registered on the platform during the specified period.

Please attach all required files and documents in the formats requested, along with the fully completed form.

All applications will be reviewed by an international selection committee composed of industry professionals from various countries.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • The applicant has not performed at REMA in the past 2 years and must present a new project;
  • The artist must be available during REMA and have a structured professional entourage (production company or manager);
  • The artist must have released their first project (EP or album) after 2020; Musical styles such as fusion, jazz, contemporary music, rap, reggae, rock, and blues are eligible. Applicants must be the authors of their repertoire (covers are not accepted);
  • Priority is given to emerging artists who have started a professional development process, with productions released within the past 3 years.

TECHNICAL CONDITIONS AND FEES

  • Artists or groups selected for REMA showcases will receive a fee of 300 (three hundred) US dollars;
  • REMA will cover accommodation, meals, and internal transportation for selected artists during the three days of the event;
  • Selected artists or groups must sign a performance agreement with REMA;
  • REMA will provide all necessary technical conditions for the artists’ performances;
  • REMA will handle all communication related to the performance of the selected artists or groups, and a media schedule (radio or TV interviews) will be arranged;
  • The artist’s team must submit all technical riders required for the performance and also contribute to promoting their appearance;
  • REMA’s partner media outlets, as well as those covering the event, will be present;
  • Selected artists will have the opportunity to network with the professionals attending REMA;
  • International transportation costs are the responsibility of the artist.

Exclusivity : The Artist and their team commit not to accept any other concert dates in Ouagadougou between September 15 and October 18, 2025.
